How to automatically download xml file

Is it the URI for the actual file you're looking for, or just a page which shows the file? Does the target website require further actions before serving the file? If the URI is sensitive, can you supply an equal example that we might be able to see?

Also, what does this have to do with ASP. Hello, thanks for your fast reply. The URI leads to a blank page that initiates a download popup for the file in question. Previously we would manually download the file from this popup, however, I'm trying to automate the process to improve ease of use.

I'll post a link when I've found something that acts the same way. I mentioned ASP. NET and so on in case it might be important information, sometimes I've seen fixes require a bit of JavaScript or something of the like. One thing you can do is capture the actual HTTP requests and responses in some browser debugging tools like Firebug or Chrome developer tools and see what this interaction is actually doing. What you're looking for is an HTTP response which is only the file content itself, but it sounds like what you're getting is some HTML which somehow initiates a second request for the file.

Problem can change fault using the above method. The default for XML is Internet explorer. Click on it and yo get more options - - the good news.

I should be able to look for an installed app on my PC. This is the second time I have notified microsoft. It's frustrating that Antony Jose of Microsoft did not answer the original question.
